What is the deadline for filing a creditor's claim against a decedent's estate in California?

Unexpired claims against a decedent's estate must be commenced within one year after the date of death.  If a probate is commenced before this deadline, the deadline is shortened (but not lengthened) to the later of (1) four months after the date letters are first issued to a general personal representative, or (2) sixty days after the date notice of administration is mailed or personally delivered to the creditor.
